I told my mum that the dumplings and chicken that she did recently were absolutely lovely and one of the best meals i've had in a long time so she made it again
thats chicken
and soft in the middle but crisp on the outside dumplings with carrots and stuff in them, really lovely and a bit more sauce than last time
and some cabbage, made a lot of cabbage to have enough to have bubble and squeak the next day
this was a lovely meal, thats ribeye steak with red peppers and onions on top of it and I thin it really was the best steak i've ever had, very red but not too bloody tasting and kind of sweet and tangy without being sharp (you can tell i'm not a steak expert)
theres some onion rings too
some chips
some bread from the deli (which went nice with the coleslaw)
co-op coleslaw
some salad that was tomato, red onion and cucumber in a sweet oily dressing
some lettuce
theres some pate and brown toast there for my mum but she didn't really like it and i've never liked it my self
this is one of the best meals i've had in such a long time, it really was absolutely wonderful
its chicken and dumplings made by my mum, the dumplings have carrots in them too which is perfect
my mum was complaining that the meal was dry, it was dry in the way that it didn't leave as much liquid as anticipated but the food its self isn't dry tasting, it was wonderful and moist and there was just the right amount of everything and I can't wait to have it again
I ate the vegetables last and it was like a second meal which was nice, they are sugar snap peas
thats my mum's homemade pizza, its without cheese because I claim I don't like cheese (haven't really ever tried it) but I tried some of her cheese with pizza on and I think i'll start having it from now on
thats some roast pork which I really like, with and without gravy, I put some more gravy on afterwards and some crab apple jelly - I didn't have any of that white sauce
thats pasta bake which was lovely, its a mix of pork and beef mince with carrots, mushrooms and onions in it
theres some salad there too which was lettuce with tomato and cucumber, it has a light oily dressing and some basil and parsley and I think it was one of the best salads i've had in quite a while
on a side note, I had another portion of this after dinner and I tried putting a bit of lo salt on it (I gave up salt last month some time) and it was really horrible, nearly inedible, i'm not going to preach, it was actually kind of upsetting because I wanted it to be a nice treat
those kind of new cheese and garlic pringle select crisps - I got them at the 99p shop and they are lovely, they aren't horribly hard and sharp and they don't taste too strongly either which is lovely and i'd recommend them
theres also some bread from the deli there
and some salad which is some peppers, red onion, lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers which was all lovely
