wednesday's post

today I got up at about 7.35AM after not nearly enough sleep

Breakfast 6.40AM

  • Breakfast was some of the vanilla nestle cereal, and a very small amount of that special K red berries (they don't mix very well) with some full fat milk
  • for my advent calender, I had fruit and nut (there seems to be a giant lot of fruit and nut, and turkish delight dairy milk minis)

Lunch

  • I was planning to have my lunch about 4, when I got home, but i'm going to have it tomorrow now instead - at about lunch time I did have some kind of flapjack kind of bar, which was oats and peanuts, it cost about 55p and it was massive but it did taste very nice and extremely filling

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was very nice, it was some spare ribs in a kind of sticky sauce but I asked for them done like I had them most recently, with some honey and with white wine vinegar - I can't honestly remember what they taste like with cherry vinegar or whatever, but apparently they were so much more heavy
  • there was also some lettuce
  • and some salad in a bowl which was spring onion, cucumber, tomato and some other little things
  • we also had some naan bread which was brilliant for getting at the left over sauce considering how sweet it was
  • I then shared a slice of some kind of black forest cheese cake I got for my mum, it was really strange considering I had no memory of what cheesecake tastes like. It was a layer of biscuit crumbs that were somehow soft, with a lot of creamy stuff building on top of it (it would be kind of horrid if it was just that) with some really amazing fruity sauce on it, with some whole/half cherries, blackberries and strawberries on it which were really impressive because fruit and can be so hit and miss - I don't know if i'd go out of my way to have it again, its certainly not an eat with your fingers cake, like chocolate cake, but it really was an interesting taste
  • I then had a quite small, but very nice banana

Snacks 8.10PM+

  • I went to to one of the pound shops today, I wanted my favourite honey roasted nuts but they didn't have any in, but a friend spotted cream pies so I got some of them along with a box of snowballs
  • tonight I had two of the cream pies, they are so strange, its a little ice-cream cone (about the size of the ones in fast food places I think) filled with a really good, almost a bit too solid, marshmallow, coated in a really thin layer of fake chocolate, I suppose on their own, the stuff wasn't that impressive but they are perfect to eat in front of the TV because you can spend ages getting the marshmallow out, its just a shame you only get 4 in a box (normally 3, there was 1 extra free)

ok there we go

thats everything updated now

theres one thing, i've forgotten half a piece of bread in a recent evening meal, but I can't remember which day it was on

tuesday's post, finally going to be up to date

I got up at about 7.45AM today (nearly didn't get up) and I ended up getting into school for lunch or something

Breakfast 7.50AM

  • now, this cereal was actually that vanilla cereal, it must be something nestle because it was all very strong tasting, like toasty compared to a kellog's sweet taste, there was a little of that special K red berries too, and my normal full fat milk
  • my advent calender today was just milk chocolate which was wonderful

Lunch 2.00PM

  • I had some orange juice
  • some carrot sticks (gave someone else one of them)
  • a very firm sesame seed bun with some nice salami in it (its wonderful having two different things on two different days)
  • I then had a scone with really nice butter in it, that I ate really quite quickly

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was wonderful, it was some really light, fluffy and really tasty roast potatoes that I put loads of salt on (tasted wonderful too)
  • also had some peas, they were wonderful but i'd like some broccoli soon
  • I also had a very nice piece of chicken
  • that was all following by a very good banana (seem to be on a really good bunch)

Snacks

  • nah, nothing today, probably getting some nuts tomorrow

monday's post

I got up at about 6.35AM on monday but I think I fell back asleep downstairs or something because I got to school so late

Breakfast 6.40AM

  • for breakfast I had some special K red berries with some full fat milk, I think there was some of that vanilla cereal in there
  • my advent calender was milk chocolate and mint which is lovely

Lunch 1.15PM

  • first I had a sesame seed bun with some chorizo in it, which I love because it makes my lunch feel different each day because I never know what i'm going to get
  • I also had some carrot sticks
  • some orange juice
  • and a really quite nice scone

Dinner 6.35PM

  • I had what my dad likes to call savory mince, made into like 3 patties, which were wonderful with a lot of salt
  • I also had a baked potato, once again, with a lot of salt
  • and some peas, I probably shouldn't have added so much salt to these
  • I then had a really wonderful banana

Snacks 9.30PM

  • my mum bought us some of that hard nougat with peanuts in it, coated in chocolate - its nice but you have to crunch it to eat it

sunday's post

On sunday I got up at about 4.00PM, I went to bed so late because I was reading about fabric pens for drawing on t-shirts

Breakfast

  • nah, not this late

Lunch

  • nope, but I did have saturday's lunch for my snack
  • I did have my advent calender though, it was a turkish delight one

Dinner 7.10PM

  • dinner was really interesting, we had roast beef but i'm wondering if it was a different cut ,because it was just a tough as normal beef (if not more tough) but it was nice and red in the middle, and had loads of great fat on the side
  • also had some very nice roast potatoes
  • some yorkshire puddings, they were all batterey and gooey in the middle, I hate that
  • we also had some carrots, and some cabbage (I like this again now that the good salt is back)
  • first I put on a lot of gravy, then I put on a lot of salt, and some pepper - on my beef I put a normal/little amount of horseradish because it was the bottom of the jar, but I would have put some more on if I could
  • I then had a really nice banana

Snacks 9.00PM+

  • first my mum gave me a lovely broken scone that had just come out of the oven, it wasn't doughy at all
  • I had to be reminded to have it, but I had saturday's lunch which was very nice, a jam doughnut with loads of jam in, the doughnut its self wasn't even soggy
  • with that I also had a fentiman's ginger beer, which was a tad muddy and maybe a little too watery

saturday's post

On saturday I got up at about 10.40AM but I still managed to be late for meeting at 1PM

Breakfast

  • I didn't have any cereal, but the night before my mum was making passion cake and brownies for a party she was going to and she left me a broken up piece of brownie, I love her brownie recipe (Its called 'Andrew's (thats me) Favourite Brownies' in her recipe book) so much, its like what all chocolate cake should be, I also had my advent calender which was a fruit and nut I think)

Lunch 4.50PM (may have been a little later, wasn't near a clock)

  • I had a falafel wrap from eat which was wonderful (reminded me of exactly what falafel should taste like) that a friend very kindly gave up for me whilst he had a sandwich that he said tasted like a cheese and onion pasty
  • by this time I had been and got a sasparilla and gone to the sweet shop but I had the drink later and the sweet shop was just to buy christmas presents

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was brilliant, I had a really nice bit of steak that was strongly seasoned/marinated or whatever but it didn't taste heavy at all, it wasn't even sharp, it was just an over all really nice taste, cooked really well (I think it was what you call medium rare, or rare) and I put a fair bit of lemon on mine, a really tiny bit of pepper and quite a bit of salt (the salts better now, I could feel it when it was grinding out the mill, it felt bigger, and it tasted so much better)
  • there were also pieces of lettuce on the side of my plate
  • the lemon wedge
  • some very nice onion rings (one of the few things we have from a packet apparently)
  • and in a separate bowl there were some amazing chips, my dad used a different kind of potato and changed the oil, they were incredibly light and fluffy compared to anything hes ever made in the deep fat fryer
  • after that I had a really nice banana (the best in so long)

Snacks 8.40PM+

  • we had some peanut brittle that my mum's friend had made, it was absolutely amazing, a bit weird because it was too sharp to let melt in my mouth, but still an amazing treat that I have to make my self
  • then I shared my sasparilla with my dad, it was very nice but I think as a drink it can be very hit and miss from bottle to bottle
  • I then had some of the chocolate my mum very kindly brought home, it was green and blacks, dark chocolate with whole cherries or something - the cherries were so incredibly sweet, you couldn't let anything melt on your tongue but it was quite nice to eat quickly

friday's post

On friday I got up at about 6.30AM and got to school only 5 minutes late, it was a real rush though

Breakfast 6.40AM

  • I can only guess that breakfast was my special K red berries with full fat milk because I couldn't spot any of that vanilla stuff, but the special K did actually look different
  • another edit, I just don't seem to be used to putting in my advent calender chocolate, anyway, it was a fruit and nut

Lunch 2.00PM

  • I had a quite nice sesame seed bun with some salami in it but I rushed it a little
  • I also had some orange juice (I rarely say this, but I always start with my orange juice)
  • I also had some carrot sticks
  • and a scone, with some of that butter that has a slightly salty taste to it that goes really well on sweet things

Dinner 7.15PM

  • dinner was really nice, some more of my mum's friend's samosas which are always really well balanced - I put way too much sweet chili sauce on mine (I love doing this) and just a little of the carroty sauce that i'm really going off
  • there was also some garlic naan bread which was nice because it was less sandy than the stuff at that giraffe cafe
  • my mum also did some salad in a little bowl, which was brilliant because all the dressing welled up at the bottom, in the salad there was ice burg lettuce (this was actually on the side of my plate) and in the bowl there was, cucumber bits, tomato bits, spring onion and a lot of nice oil
  • I then had a banana, it was alright, not as horrid as recent bananas

Snacks 8.45PM

  • my mum bought us some really nice beer to try called Pure Ubu or something (named after their dog, which I thought was lovely) the beer its self tastes really interesting, like if you were to take the mild rosey woody aftertaste of hobgoblin and just blast the drinker with the taste instantly - its so punchy that it really works, I don't think it could replace anything wychwood for me but its still an interesting taste and certainly a much more full on beer than anything else i've tried
  • a bit of an edit, I just remembered we also had some cadbury's bournville dark chocolate because my mum very kindly 'over estimated' when she was buying chocolate for brownies that she was making for a party on saturday
