saturday's post

On saturday I got up at about 10.40AM but I still managed to be late for meeting at 1PM

Breakfast

  • I didn't have any cereal, but the night before my mum was making passion cake and brownies for a party she was going to and she left me a broken up piece of brownie, I love her brownie recipe (Its called 'Andrew's (thats me) Favourite Brownies' in her recipe book) so much, its like what all chocolate cake should be, I also had my advent calender which was a fruit and nut I think)

Lunch 4.50PM (may have been a little later, wasn't near a clock)

  • I had a falafel wrap from eat which was wonderful (reminded me of exactly what falafel should taste like) that a friend very kindly gave up for me whilst he had a sandwich that he said tasted like a cheese and onion pasty
  • by this time I had been and got a sasparilla and gone to the sweet shop but I had the drink later and the sweet shop was just to buy christmas presents

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was brilliant, I had a really nice bit of steak that was strongly seasoned/marinated or whatever but it didn't taste heavy at all, it wasn't even sharp, it was just an over all really nice taste, cooked really well (I think it was what you call medium rare, or rare) and I put a fair bit of lemon on mine, a really tiny bit of pepper and quite a bit of salt (the salts better now, I could feel it when it was grinding out the mill, it felt bigger, and it tasted so much better)
  • there were also pieces of lettuce on the side of my plate
  • the lemon wedge
  • some very nice onion rings (one of the few things we have from a packet apparently)
  • and in a separate bowl there were some amazing chips, my dad used a different kind of potato and changed the oil, they were incredibly light and fluffy compared to anything hes ever made in the deep fat fryer
  • after that I had a really nice banana (the best in so long)

Snacks 8.40PM+

  • we had some peanut brittle that my mum's friend had made, it was absolutely amazing, a bit weird because it was too sharp to let melt in my mouth, but still an amazing treat that I have to make my self
  • then I shared my sasparilla with my dad, it was very nice but I think as a drink it can be very hit and miss from bottle to bottle
  • I then had some of the chocolate my mum very kindly brought home, it was green and blacks, dark chocolate with whole cherries or something - the cherries were so incredibly sweet, you couldn't let anything melt on your tongue but it was quite nice to eat quickly
