monday's post

I got up at about 8.00AM today but I didn't go to school

Dinner 6.40PM
  • dinner was a piece of the steak from saturday's meal which was lovely and kind of porky tasting, on that is a sauce that has tarragon, red peppers, onions and yoghurt in it and it was perfect for the steak I think
  • then theres fried potatoes with little crispy and crunchy bits of onions
  • and green beans, I put a lot of salt and a bit of pepper on the green beans and potatoes, and a bit of salt on the steak
  • theres also a piece of co-op tiger bread there which is very nice, I had that with a lot of salt and pepper when I had finished the rest of my meal

sunday's post

today I got up at about 11.15AM





Dinner 7.20PM
  • thats roast lamb which was lovely with wonderful mint sauce
  • roast potatoes and theres one roast parsnip in there too
  • yorkshire puddings
  • peas
  • carrots
  • and beans
  • with cauliflower too (I ate this first)
    after the picture I wasn't paying attention and I ended up putting a bit too much salt on everything

saturday's post

I got up at about 9.40AM




Dinner 6.35PM+
  • thats lovely steak stir fry in a black bean sauce or something
  • with rice under it
  • red peppers
  • bean sprouts
  • sugar snap peas
  • some nice bread from the deli, I had two of those slices
  • and I ended up having about 1/4 maybe 1/3 0f those chips but they were meant to be for my mum

friday's post

on friday I got up at about 8.00AM




Dinner 6.40PM

  • dinner was lovely, thats dirty rice with carrots, bits of eggs, crunchy onions, prawns and little prawns, I put a fair bit of light soy on this
  • some spring rolls, first time i've had them i nears and they were lovely, they were from tescos and i'd love to try homemade ones, I dipped them in an egg cup of sweet chili sauce (thats the big bottle)
  • those are ribs in a sticky sauce, not much to say but they are sweet and lovely
  • some prawn crackers
  • the salad was a mix of different onions, bean sprouts and chinese cabbage, I didn't like this too much but it doesn't matter

  • thats a chicken stir fry
  • with some sugar snap peas (I always thought those were french beans or something)
  • and theres red onion and white onion in there
  • and on the table thats light soy, I used a fair bit of it

  • dinner was souvlaki which was lovely, I gave it a good thick coat of that mint raita which was loads better than usual today and I always like it anyway
  • thats tomato and red onion salad
  • and garlic naan bread

  • dinner was spaghetti bolognese which was lovely
  • with garlic bread
  • some lettuce with a kind of light nice dressing on it
  • and theres some tesco green pesto there
  • also had a fair bit of salt and pepper on it

monday's post

today I got up at about 8.05AM and went to school for the first time in ages





this is dinner, it was at about 6.40PM

  • its bubble and squeak with sausages, before gravy and after gravy. There was some tomato sauce on the table and I couldn't resist putting some of the bubble and squeak but you don't get to see that

New format and direction for the blog

firstly, very sorry for the lack of updates, the record is going to be missing about two weeks or something

I will now only be posting about my dinner and this will include at least one picture

I was getting annoyed with getting a giant backlog of posts and loads of gaps so I hope this will inject something new into the whole food thing - really hope you'll all enjoy it

on saturday I got up at about 2.30PM

Breakfast

  • nope

Lunch 4.30PM

  • a lovely and big hot cross bun
  • fentiman's orange jigger

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was a burger without top, under the patty, onion and tomato
  • on it I put tartar sauce (first time having it and I love it) and sweet chili sauce
  • with that some deep fried battered strips of chicken with tartar sauce
  • salt and pepper crisps with tartar sauce
  • salad which was tomato, onion and lettuce and cucumber
  • just some lettuce
  • a banana

Snacks 9.00PM+

  • tesco dark chocolate

friday's post

on friday I got up at about 2.00PM

  • nope

  • for lunch I had pasta
  • with carrots
  • and peas, all with red pesto on

Dinner 6.35PM

  • chinese square pancake/wrap things
  • sweet little strips of chicken
  • bacon
  • and most mine had in the chicken and bacon with
  • little bits of gherkin
  • sweet chili sauce
  • smoked garlic mayonnaise
  • some lettuce
  • a bit of tomato
  • a bit of onion
  • a banana

  • some natural confectionery jelly snakes

  • for dinner I had a stir fry with mushrooms, onions, peas and some other things
  • some noodles
  • a piece of braised chicken
  • a fair bit of light soy sauce on everything
  • and a banana

  • the normal pataks chicken curry
  • with white rice
  • some poppadoms
  • some garlic naan bread
  • a lot of mango chutney

  • for dinner I had roast beef with horseradish and gravy on everything

saturday's post

I got up at about 1.40PM on saturday

Breakfast

  • nope, didn't have anything

Lunch 4.00PM

  • for lunch I had a lovely hot cross bun from the deli, it was very big and had no bad currants in it at all - I had it toasted with some butter/margarine on it
  • with that I had a fentiman's orange jigger which was perfect to go with the hot cross bun because the taste is strong but it doesn't stay with you for too long

Dinner 6.35PM

  • for dinner I had a very nice and big pork chop
  • with that I had some mash that had little bits of bacon in it which was nice
  • and some stir fried green pepper and onion slices in a kind of sweet yellow bean sauce that made the chop kind of sweet at the same time
  • after that I had a banana

Snacks 8.30PM

  • I had some 55% dark chocolate that I think was from aldi, its very smooth and worth trying, it could be thicker though

friday's post

on friday I got up at about 1.00PM

Breakfast

  • nope, too late for that really

Lunch 3.00PM

  • for lunch I had some pasta shells
  • with some peas
  • and carrots, it all had pesto on it but red pesto instead of the usual green - red is a meatier flavour, i'm not sure if I like one over the other, it makes a very different and maybe oilier meal

Dinner 6.35PM

  • for dinner I had a lovely piece of lovely sweet tasting roast chicken with bits of lovely onion, i'm told it was sweet chili sauce, soy and oyster sauce but thats not something i'd usually note, its just for the sake of catching up
  • that was all on top of some rice that had some of the onions and little bits of bacon in it, which was very nice and kept things sweet somehow
  • on the side of the plate was some broccoli, I ate this first, I usually eat broccoli last but recently i've been eating it first
  • after that I had a very nice banana

Snacks 8.30PM

  • tonight my mum wasn't feeling well so we got some chocolate that she was going to use to make brownies with for a work thing - it was aldi dark chocolate which was lovely to have, its probably a lot nicer than the woolworths chocolate I think, it seems generally more substantial for some reason
