Tuesday 30 December 2008

tuesday's post

today I got up at about 11.00AM

Breakfast

  • I didn't have any breakfast but I did have a perfect ferrero rocher when I went downstairs

Lunch

  • I was out on my own today so I didn't want to go wasting money on lunch, this was a mistake because I started to feel really very faint, so on my way back at about 4.55PM, I had a wonderful peanut butter kitkat chunky which sorted me out

Dinner 7.00PM

  • for dinner my mum made a proper balti curry using her own spice mix, i've been waiting to try this for about a fortnight now
  • it was very different from the curry we usually have that is made using a pataks base (one of the few meals we have pre-made) instead of being kind of sweetly spiked, it had a certain more earthy taste to it, like if you've ever eaten cinnamon powder
  • I really enjoyed it because it wasn't invading my mouth so much, it was really quite mild and distinctive (it was a chicken curry by the way)
  • with that she did some of her nice spicy rice
  • we also had garlic naan bread
  • poppadoms
  • and I also put a little mango chutney on my curry (trying not to ruin the new flavour) and because there were loads of poppadoms left, I ended up putting loads and loads of mango chutney on them
  • I don't know why I didn't have a banana, we've been eating in the dining room instead of the kitchen because its christmas time, and for some reason bananas seem unable to enter the dining room

Snacks 8.05PM+

  • first I started with sharing out the last ferrero rochers with my dad, so we had two each
  • a bit after that I went and got some biscuits that a relative got us from the market, they aren't bad or anything (and they came in a beautiful tin) but they do taste funny, its like someones made the perfect biscuit then dropped it in a different flavour
  • in between biscuit consumption I went and got a treat that I bought around lunch time - pepsi raw, this is an extremely interesting cola. I don't normally agree that any cola should have ice in, but the thing with pepsi raw is, it tastes so clean and refreshing, its so light and easy to drink that I can see it making the perfect summer drink with a nice bit of ice in a nice cool glass, my favourite cola is still fentiman's curiosity cola, but pepsi raw is defiantly an interesting drink, its kind of straight tasting whereas fentimans bombs you with flavours

Monday 29 December 2008

monday's post

so on monday I got up at about 10.55AM and later on had to avoid spending money in the tempting sweet shop

Breakfast

  • nah nothing today, in really quite a rush to get out of the door

Lunch 2.40PM (approx, not near a clock)

  • for lunch I had a very nice humus wrap, but our normal eat wasn't open so it was a bit odd eating it in a different place
  • a while after lunch, probably bout 5.00PM, I had a wonderfully balanced ginger and lemon drink, i'm going to go and find out what the brand was, the drink was perfect but the bottle was so dull that I can't even remember what it was called

Dinner 6.50PM

  • before dinner I had about two after 8 mints
  • for dinner we had dirty rice, it was wonderful, I had loads of it with loads of light soy sauce on it
  • in the dirty rice we had
  • little prawns
  • egg (apparently not enough egg bits because we only had one egg)
  • peas
  • carrots
  • those little crunchy onion flakes and maybe something else but I can't always tell with dirty rice
  • I also had a very nice piece of chicken, that I guess was braised, it was very juicy and went with the rice well
  • there was also nice prawn crackers
  • and a vegetable dish that was broccoli with lots of different things like spring onions, mushrooms and water chestnuts
  • there was talk about me having a banana but I never did end up with one

Snacks 8.15PM+

  • first we finished off the after 8s which were wonderful
  • then we moved on to bombay mix, it wasn't Cofresh but it was still very nice, I must have had a bout 3 bowls of that

sunday's post

I got up at about 10.20AM on sunday

Breakfast

  • I didn't really have any breakfast but I did have some of the left over mini mars bars from the celebrations box

Lunch

  • I didn't have a meal for lunch but I finished the celebrations and the roses
  • I also had some more of those dark chocolate ferrero rochers

Dinner 6.50PM

  • dinner was a very nice roast lamb
  • with the lamb we had yorkshire puddings
  • roast potatoes
  • some brussel sprouts (I don't want to admit it but these are warming to me)
  • some very nice peas
  • and carrots
  • my mum couldn't finish all of hers so she very kindly gave me some extra potatoes and a yorkshire pudding
  • on the lamb I put a load of mint sauce, and on the vegetables - after the meal I had about 4 table spoons of mint sauce straight from the boat and my arm started to shake, I don't know what that was about
  • all over the meal I put a load of gravy, but not too much
  • I also put quite a lot of salt, but barely any pepper (I think I generally use pepper less now anyway)

Snacks 8.40PM+

  • first we started with some very odd chocolates that a relative got for us off the market, they were in a ferrero rocher box and the sales woman assured my grandmother that they were thortons chocolates - they weren't, they were just a strange mix of little chocolates all tasting of slightly different milky ways, not bad, just really weird
  • we then moved onto balti mix, this was the proper Cofresh kind, I haven't had that brand in ages and after about 3 big bowls, I started to remember how hot they really were (and I think I loved it)
  • shortly after this me and my dad cracked into some lovely after 8 mints

I went to sleep early last night

i'll do the other posts tonight, after dinner

saturday's post

on saturday I got up at about 1.05PM after going to bed far too late for no real reason

Breakfast 1.15PM

  • I didn't have a real breakfast, instead I found the box with all the cold stuff in and had a good few stuffing balls, bacon rolls and sausages

Lunch 1.30PM

  • little did I know, we were about to have lunch but I had pretty much the same thing that I did for my breakfast
  • I had quite a few cold sausages, but sadly I had finished up all the stuffing
  • I finished off the last few mini picnic eggs
  • we also had what i'm pretty sure was the last of the orange juice
  • and some crisps, they were kettle chips but if you ask me they tasted exactly like walkers' cheese and onion
  • also had a very nice gherkin

Dinner 6.45PM

  • dinner was very nice, something i've been waiting for, duck - the duck was wonderful, it was still on the carcass but my dad had put slits so he could carve off pieces, and of course at the end of the meal you could pick at the bird, the meat its self was really nice, not too metally tasting and it was really soft but with crunchy skin
  • with that there was a little sauce/gravy boat thing with some very nice orange sauce in, it wasn't over poweringly orangy and the nice bits of cloves in it were clear so I didn't end up eating them like last time
  • there was also a salad plate with some lettuce, tomato and cucumber on it
  • there was also a bowl of crisps, they were the cheesey onion ones from lunch which were very nice
  • we also finished off that lovely lemon sorbet

Snacks 8.15PM+

  • we started to finish off the celebrations
  • and I also had a go at some of the roses
  • after that I opened up my box of Ferrero Rondnoir (they're the dark chocolate ferrero rochers) they are absolutely wonderful, i'm pretty sure the wafer is better in these dark chocolate ones than the normal ones, also instead of a nut in the middle theres a wonderful little chocolate ball - i'm not sure if this is positive or not, its just there, I suppose a nut balances things out
  • then I had about 4 glasses of banks, which is 2 cans

i'm so behind

going to try and do two posts now before dinner in an effort to catch up

Saturday 27 December 2008

friday's post, boxing day

so I got up at about 10.10AM on friday after a really good sleep

Breakfast 10.15AM

  • I went down straight to breakfast, we had a cooked breakfast again
  • it was baked beans on some really nice bacony fried bread from the deli
  • some sausages, tasted even more like bacon today (I think my dad has invested in bacon spray or something)
  • some of that funny big round bacon
  • one normal piece of black pudding and one cooked piece, if i'm honest, I don't think i'd like it cooked again, it just brings out the bad bits in the black pudding
  • we also had some nice orange juice to drink

Lunch 2.15PM

  • before lunch I was working my way through that box of celebrations, having quite a few of those truffle ones
  • for lunch I had loads of cold sasuages, big and small, with some wrapped in bacon
  • I also had some of the cold bacon rolls
  • loads of cold stuffing balls
  • some mini picnic eggs
  • some salt and pepper crisps
  • I also had a very nice gherkin
  • we also had some orange juice to drink

Dinner 6.45PM

  • before dinner I had a go at those celebrations again
  • for dinner we had some steak which has a really special more balanced flavour from normal, I got my dad a jamie oliver flavour shaker for christmas and it really does help evenly spread the flavour about the meat, the garlic was much more balanced and let the meat shine through
  • we also had a plate with some lettuce
  • tomatoes
  • and cucumber on it
  • we also had some salt and pepper crisps
  • for pudding we had some of that lovely lemon sorbet again

Snacks 8.50PM+

  • apart from picking at the celebrations some more I had the last coke from a glass bottle, I kept it going for ages but its a shame that theres no more
  • we also had some of the cashews that a very kind relative gave us over christmas and I was really very full at this point

thursday's post, christmas day

on christmas I got up at 9.10AM because I can never wait on christmas

Breakfast 10.10AM

  • before breakfast I had a few of the little fruity sweets from a hello kitty money box I got in my stocking
  • we generally have two cooked breakfasts a year, the first is on christmas, the second is on boxing day
  • for breakfast I had some fried bread from the deli, with some beans on top of it
  • some very nice almost bacony tasting sausages
  • some funny big bacon that wasn't gammon
  • two pieces of black pudding, in the spirit of trying something new I had one of the pieces fried properly (I usually have it straight from the butchers) as I refused to have it 'cooked' from a very young age. It was kind of really nice, like the best bits of good sausage, but with 100 times all the bad bits of strange meat and sausage tastes
  • to drink with it we had orange juice, which was a great treat
  • after this I tried to avoid eating any snacks of chocolates so I could make room for having stuff later

Lunch 2.05PM

  • lunch was a nice meal of lots of little things to pick at, I suppose they were like canapes but i've never had those so I can't commit a name to what we had
  • my dad cut little rounds out of baguettes and on top of them put various little things, I had the ones with nice warm chicken with sweet chili sauce on them
  • and the ones with a layer of salami then a slice of gherkin on them
  • I also had some of those mini picnic eggs
  • and some salt and pepper crisps
  • I think I had a banana, this is one of the few things on my lists that i'm not sure about though - I might check this lunch over with the rest of the family just to make sure

Christmas Dinner 6.45PM

  • my mum has gone off turkey so we had capon for christmas dinner (not like she had any of it though) its the first time i've ever had capon and it does taste amazing, something very different to a normal chicken taste, kind of like a lighter turkey - it still tasted very christmasy
  • there was also peas
  • carrots
  • I had one brussel sprout but there were more
  • some really nice roast potatoes cooked in lots of flour to make them lovely
  • some full sized sausages
  • some mini sausages
  • some wonderful mini sausages wrapped in bacon
  • some stuffing balls that didn't have any bad bits in at all
  • some bacon rolls
  • I also had some gravy on all of it, but I limited my gravy intake so I could properly taste everything for the special meal
  • I also tried bread sauce properly for the first time, and i've decided its actually a wonderful sauce and defiantly worth having again
  • after this I finished off some of the left over capon along with some roast potatoes and stuffing balls
  • for pudding I had some very nice lemon sorbet which is a perfect christmas treat

Snacks 7.20PM+

  • first I had a go at some of the left overs, mainly the bacon rolls and lovely stuffing balls (I love cold stuffing)
  • finally I cracked into the christmas chocolates, we opened a big tub (they've stopped using tins apparently) of celebrations where I then picked at a lot of galaxy truffles, maltesters and the odd snickers
  • I then had some banks, I had four glasses which was two cans

hi posts coming in a minute

so stay tuned

I might do a drawing too

Thursday 25 December 2008

happy christmas everyone!

so its about an hour until we have our christmas dinner and I can't wait, theres also a lot of chocolate but i'm trying to control my self to make room for dinner and snacks later

I hope everyone has a nice holiday

wednesday's post

on wednesday I got up at about 8.40AM so I could meet a friend nice and early so we could avoid the crowds

Breakfast

I didn't have any breakfast but my last advent calender chocolate was a very nice mint chocolate one (probably the best one)

Lunch 1.00PM (approx, not near a clock)

  • I had about 80p or something on me, so when we went to the sweetshop I bought a 50p bag of white mice to share, they were very nice
  • by this point I didn't have any money on me so my friend offered to buy me something to eat (thanks so much for that) so we went for a walk around town trying to decide what to have, japanese food was proposed but it does really cost quite a bit so we went to the chippy (first time in a long time, I love fish and chips)
  • to keep with my trying new things over christmas, I didn't go for fish and chips, I tried battered sausage and chips, and let me say, it was absolutely wonderful - probably one of the best things i've had in ages, maybe the sausage wasn't the best quality in the world but it was massive, cheap, and the batter was out of this world not to mention that the huge portion of chips were perfect too

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was wonderful, for a christmas eve treat we had loads and loads of fish fingers, on mine I put a lot of lemon juice, lots of salt, pepper and a sea of tomato sauce
  • with that we had some bread (there was butter but I don't tend to have it)
  • and some very nice chips (chips twice a day is brilliant)
  • no banana today

Snacks 8.40PM+

  • first I had some those cadbury's roses with my dad, which were very nice
  • then we both had a glass bottle of coke

tuesday's post

on tuesday I got up at about 10.40AM and nearly didn't go out to finish up my christmas shopping because I didn't have any keys

Breakfast

  • nope, no breakfast, but my advent calender was a whole nut one

Lunch 4.50PM+ (approx, not near a clock)

  • we went to eat today, but I tried something new because I was really hungry and this was the second eat we went to that didn't have any falafel or humus, so I had a peking duck wrap. Duck is one of my favourite things and we rarely have it, but because its was so close to christmas so the duck was justified - it was really incredibly sweet with loads of sharp spring onions, i'd say it was too sweet but now I think about it, I want another one
  • after that a bro (check out his music blog, if you haven't heard them before then the raincoats are an amazing upload http://wowchampagne.blogspot.com/) bought me a doughnut from the german christmas markets, the woman who served us was loud, abrupt and kind of scary, she kept shouting about 'vinnillie' and 'affel' - I had a really big doughnut with loads of kind of vanilla goo inside, funny chocolate on the outside with smarties and kind of appley flakes on top of it

Dinner 6.45PM

  • my mum made dinner again, it was pasta bake which was wonderful but I suppose I felt kind of funny from the doughnut
  • there was also a nice bowl of salad, with lettuce, tomato, and some cucumber in it
  • I also had a banana

Snacks 8.35PM+

  • by this point I was really really full, my mum got out a big tin of cadbury roses that she was given and I had one of those, but left the rest to make room for the left over pasta bake
  • after that I had that pasta bake, it was wonderful (I like it a bit dryer, I don't know why) but I just couldn't finish it
  • with that I had two glasses of banks which is a cans worth

Wednesday 24 December 2008

monday's post

I got up at about 10.40AM on monday and went charity shopping, I got a sweatshirt and a t-shirt

Breakfast

  • I really don't like eating breakfast in the holidays so I didn't have anything- my advent calender was a dairy milk one though

Lunch 3.20PM

  • for lunch I had some of the christmas treats and snacks that we bought near the charity shops - we bought a lot of stuff like balti mix, bombay mix, corn nuts, some mini picnic eggs and some peanuts
  • what I actually had was some of the corn nuts, they're by the people who do a lot of bombay mixes and stuff, they smell horrible and I suppose the flavour isn't that great, but theres something incredibly nice and inviting about their taste, its chili and lemon and it does actually taste like that so I had two bowls
  • I also had one of the mini picnic eggs (better than tescos), they're from iceland, first time i've been in one and I was surprised they didn't have any bombay mix

Dinner 7.05PM

  • dinner was very nice, we had chicken curry with rice, but the rice had some more stuff in than usual that was kind of like chewy cinnamon
  • there was also some garlic naan bread
  • after that I had a banana

Snacks 9.40PM+

  • first I finished off some of my dark chocolate which was nice
  • then i had probably my weight in corn nuts
  • and probably just under a bottle of that wonderful glass bottle coke (gave the last bit to my dad) I think every once in a while after christmas, I have to start buying this glass bottle stuff because it just tastes like such a natural and pleasing drink compared to normal coke

Monday 22 December 2008

for dj

I hope you like this a little more than the pig will

Sunday 21 December 2008

sunday's post

I got up at about 10.35AM today after not enough sleep

Breakfast

  • nah, I didn't have any breakfast but my advent calender was a caramel one

Lunch 4.15PM

  • for lunch I had saturday's lunch, which was a very nice, kind of giant biscuity scone thing, with a kind of crunchy sugary outside, currants in it and a nice glace cherry on top of it
  • I also had a nice and sharp fentiman's lemonade
  • after that I had a piece of that aldi dark chocolate which really did full me up, after that I found I had fallen asleep until about dinner time

Dinner 7.05PM

  • dinner was very nice, it was roast pork which was very juicy today
  • there was also some very nice crackling
  • some soft yet very crunchy roast potatoes (I think my mum put a lot of flour on them today)
  • some yorkshire puddings (nice in the middle)
  • there was also some cabbage
  • some peas (been wanting these for a while)
  • and some carrots
  • on top of all of this I had a lot of gravy, salt, and pepper with most of the salt on the veg and the meat, I also put a giant lot of crab apple jelly on my pork
  • after that I had a banana, and I was really very full

Snacks 9.45PM

  • first, I had a bottle of coke (a treat for christmas) it was in a glass bottle, this was a real treat because i've never had it before, maybe it was just a placebo effect but I'm pretty sure the coke was less acidy and sharp, more pleasing, smooth and fruity
  • I also had some of my dark chocolate
  • I got some sweets from the sweet shop today but i'm saving those

Saturday 20 December 2008

I don't know why I haven't gone to bed

I'm very tired and i've got a nice day tomorrow, going shopping at the flea market, but for some reason i'm still up so I just did a drawing

saturday's post

I got up at about 11.30AM today and couldn't see any snacks I wanted to buy in town

Breakfast

  • didn't have any breakfast, but my advent calender was a whole nut one

Lunch

  • I came home pretty early today to have some lunch because I was out on my own just doing some shopping, but instead of having something to eat I helped my mum with the christmas tree instead
  • after that I did have a little milky way bar she gave me that I was saving, i've got to buy another big one of these because it was so nice

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was very nice, it was a piece of pork, with a good bit of fat on it
  • on the pork there were these almost black really sweet onions, some other stuff like chili and a nice bit of butter
  • there was also a plate of salad which was some diced ice burg lettuce that I got mixed up with some olive oil
  • on the plate there was also some tomato slices with some salt, pepper and oil on them
  • I then had some pieces of deli bread with a lot of salt and pepper on them
  • I had a banana which was alright

Snacks 9.10PM+

  • first I had some of the about 85% chocolate that my mum got us from aldi (still got a lot of it left) which was nice, had a funny warming orange taste to it
  • I also had two glasses of banks mild which is about a cans worth considering the size of my favourite glass

friday's post

so friday was the last day of school, I got up at about 7.35AM but still managed to get in late for the last day

Breakfast 7.40AM

  • sadly I couldn't finish my almond cereal on friday, the milk was bad and I just couldn't manage it at all
  • my advent calender was a caramel one (I haven't had a full caramel bar in about a year now I think of it)

Lunch 12.00/2.00PM

  • I put a slash because the first things I ate were some of my biscuits which seemed to go down pretty well (the ones I made for thursday) then I had a few when I got home too
  • then I was in town where I had my proper lunch, which was a very nice humus wrap from eat
  • a bit later after that I had a fentiman's curiosity cola which is probably my favourite now that the sarsaparilla has gone funny

Dinner 6.30PM

  • dinner was very nice, my mum made lasagna which was wonderful and tasted a lot more winey than it usually does
  • we also had some salad with that, which was spring onion, some lettuce, tomato and some other little things
  • then I had a banana

Snacks 8.30PM+

  • first, I had the left over portion of the lasagna which was wonderful because it was just that little bit dryer and tasted great with a lot of salt and pepper
  • then I shared out the last of the white mice because they seem to go bad if they're left any longer

how does your dog eat its dinner?

so today I drew some doggies eating their dinner, one of my dogs used to eat its dinner really quickly then try and finish off the other dog's dinner - the silly thing never did learn to pick up the pace
theres more to be seen if you zoom in the picture
i'll be doing the food in just a minute

Thursday 18 December 2008

thursday's post

today I got up at 7.35AM after no where near enough sleep

Breakfast 7.40PM

  • breakfast was that almond cereal, it started out really well but it went completely down hill because the milk was funny, so I ended up not finishing it
  • for my advent calender today I had a fruit and nut one

Lunch 2.00PM+

  • so it was that class lunch thing today, sadly no-one really brought in anything, I think the main dish was made by a boy in class though which was nice, there were 3 types of pizza but I only had one piece from one of them, i'm not really into cheese much
  • waiting for us were cards with little christmas chocolates on them which was really sweet
  • on the table we had some kind of cool dip thing with some celery sticks (it was brilliant celery) some carrot sticks, some cucumber and some crisps
  • the first thing I had was about a 1/4 portion (not sure if i'd like it so I went for a smaller portion) of a pasta bake (I think that boy made this one) it wasn't something I was used to because I don't eat much cheese at all, it was a really bright orange cheese and with what I think was tuna which i'm not too used to either but I liked the onions in it and people used to tuna and cheese loved it which is cool
  • I also had a piece of some caramelised onion (I really liked the onion part) pizza which I know came from a packet, it was kind of strange, really soft, kind of mushy and incredibly greasy and the topping came off in one piece
  • for pudding there was apple crumble, but I don't like this anyway
  • i'm not sure if anyone had any of my biscuits because no-one mentioned it to me

Something I had when I got home

  • so because I didn't really eat much I got some stuff on the way home, I got some salt and vinegar snack a jacks which I shared with my dad (they are surprisingly smelly and greasy for non greasy things but they are still very nice)
  • I also had some peanut M&Ms with a few white mice which took ages to eat
  • and some nice carrot sticks

Dinner 6.25PM

  • dinner was very nice, it was pasta shells with some kind of tomato sauce over it with little bits of steak in it, it was quite sharp already but I put some pepper on mine, with just a bit of salt
  • I then had a banana

Snacks 9.15PM

  • my mum won some toffee in a competition which was nice but I kept getting impatient and getting it stuck on my teeth, so I had some of those (I still have a load of white mice left)
  • throughout the day I had some stuff too, I had two quality street chocolates at about midday, and later on a friend offered me a chip from a fast food place

Wednesday 17 December 2008

wednesday's post

so I got up at sbout 7.35AM today, and its nearly the christmas holidays

Breakfast 7.40AM

  • for breakfast I had some very nice almond oats and more cereal with some full fat milk
  • my advent calender today was a milk chocolate one

Lunch 3.00PM

  • for lunch I had some salami in a really firm sesame seed bun
  • with some orange juice that spilt a bit and tasted kind of like a nice cheap mango juice
  • I also had some carrot sticks that tasted kind of like salami
  • and a really nice scone
  • after lunch I baked some peanut butter cookies for a class lunch that we're having tomorrow, i'll try to try lots of things i've never had tomorrow so I can do a nice post on it (its still so hard to not go down and eat them, I hope they go down well)

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was something that i've wanted for ages which was brilliant - we had sausage patties, that I put a lot of salt and pepper on
  • there was also a nice piece of fried bread (the best normal white fried bread i've had in ages) with some beans on top of it
  • I also had some bacon, and one of my mum's pieces of bacon
  • then I had some chips, which were wonderful but I rushed eating them a bit I think
  • I then had a banana which was alright, better than yesterdays

Snacks

  • nah, nothing tonight, I went out earlier before I did some baking but I couldn't see anything that i'd want for a snack and I ended up feeling too full to have any white mice (I sampled some of my biscuits though, just to make sure they were alright)

Tuesday 16 December 2008

tuesday's post my necks gone funny

so I got up at about 7.35AM today, and my neck looks a bit funny, the skin was kind of dry yesterday so I tried to fix it last night with some stuff but it didn't work, and it looked horrible when I got out of the bath

Breakfast 7.40AM

  • I had some of that nestle almond and oats cereal, i'm really warming towards this because it always tastes consistently nice compared to kellogs stuff that gets a bit hit and miss with the fruit and the flakes (I had it with full fat milk which was very nice today)
  • for my advent calender, I had a caramel one

Lunch 3.05PM

  • for lunch I had a really quite soft sesame seed bun with some salami in it, I think I rushed eating this
  • I also had some not very nice carrots
  • some orange juice
  • and a scone with some buttery stuff in it, which was perfect

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was some noodles because we hadn't had them in so long, I put quite a lot of light soy on my noodles
  • on top of those I had some chicken
  • some onions and stuff
  • and some mushrooms (I don't like them cut so big though)
  • after that I had a banana which wasn't as good as those really good bananas last week

Snacks 9.05PM+

  • I was going to share out my white mice today but my mum very kindly got us some maltesers and mixed them with some smarties that she got for a present - these were all very nice but I can't help feeling that smarties have really changed since I was little, they taste less crispy but more fruity

monday's post

on monday I got up at about 6.35AM but still got into school too late

Breakfast 6.40AM

  • for breakfast I had some of that nestle almond cereal again - i'm really quite enjoying this one (I had it with full fat milk)
  • my advent calender was a whole nut one (tasted kind of funny when it first hit my tongue)

Lunch 1.10PM

  • for lunch I had some orange juice
  • a scone with some very rich flora kind of stuff in it (I think it was anyway)
  • I also had some carrot sticks (not very good again)
  • a sesame seed bun with some chorizo in it (very nice)

Dinner 6.30PM

  • dinner was really nice and unexpected, i'd been wanting sausage patties and fried bread for quite a few days but my mum doesn't eat it so I decided it would be wonderful to have some rice (I noticed I hadn't had it in a while when in used to eat it about 5 days a week)
  • we had some white (I can't remember what the grain is called) rice, with lots of stewy kind of hot pot things in it which was very nice
  • in it there was, some sausage in quite small bits (I cut mine up a bit more when I was eating it, I hate the idea of hard bits in sausage thats been in a stew)
  • there was also some bacon which was nice
  • I think there was some chicken, but I think a lot of it was just stock mixing with the meatier mushroom taste
  • on the side of my plate there was some broccoli (probably my favourite) which I added some salt to, but I actually completely avoided adding any salt to the main meal
  • and also on top of the meat, there was some things that I suppose were croutons, big bits of bread with mustard and stuff on them
  • I had a banana afterwards, which was alright

Snacks 8.10PM+

  • I got out the snowballs first, and had a good lot of those, i've started biting off the chocolate to get the mallowy stuff out now
  • near when I was going to go to bed I remembered I still hadn't had my lunch from saturday - it was still very nice even if it was very firm, I had sometrhing the deli calls a yum yum, which I suppose is like a churro (i'm really not sure, sorry)
  • I also had a fentiman's dandilion and burdock drink, I really think thry've changed their drinks, it was much fizzier and sharper like a coke feeling - I don't know if it works with this drink, it didn't taste how I remember it anyway

Sunday 14 December 2008

sunday's post

I got up at about 10.45AM today, I was going to go out but I didn't

Breakfast

  • nah, I don't like to have it on sundays, but my advent calender was a mint chocolate one

Lunch

  • I meant to have yesterday's lunch but I spent too long getting ready to have a bath so I ended up just having two white mice and a snowball between lunch time and dinner

Dinner 7.05PM

  • dinner was very nice, we had roast lamb which was very nice, and my mum gave me some of hers that she didn't want
  • there was also roast potatoes, my mum also gave me some of hers
  • I had two yorkshire puddings, then my mum gave me one of hers
  • for vegetables we had carrots
  • some spring greens (probably cabbage, now I think)
  • I also had 3 brussel sprouts, I don't really like these usually but I put a lot of gravy and mint sauce on mine so they were ok
  • on top of everything I put really quite a lot gravy, and on my meat especially, a fair bit of mint sauce, I used what I guess is quite a bit of salt, and probably too much pepper (I thought I had stopped over doing it with pepper)
  • we also had pudding, which we haven't had in a while - it was some very nice meringue nests which were incredibly chewing in the middle, with some very big and not dirty tasting blueberries with some thick kind of stiff cream (I don't really like cream too much, but it really works with meringue nests I think)

Snacks 8.15PM+

  • I meant to have yesterday's lunch for my snack, but at first I felt too full then I completely forgot, so instead my mum got us some mixed broken chocolates from one of the £1 shops, they were quite nice but despite not having them for so many months, they still haven't changed the chocolates much at all
  • in between the chocolates I had a very small amount of my mum's wine from a wine kit, its still cloudy so I only had a little (not really sure if its bad for you when its cloudy) it was ok, kind of weird taste, like it had a distinctive taste, but then completely dropped the taste as soon as you swallowed your mouthful

Saturday 13 December 2008

saturday's post

I got up at about 10.44AM on saturday, but I went to bed really late which was annoying

Breakfast

  • nah I didn't have any breakfast, but my advent calender was a mini fruit and nut

Lunch 3.20PM (approx, not near a clock)

  • for lunch I had a falafel wrap from eat, which was wonderful as always
  • we also went to the sweet shop where I got £1 worth of white mice and some marshmallows
  • at about 6.00PM I had a mango juice drink thing that i'd bought earlier - I wish i'd remembered the brand so I could recommend against it, because it really was horrible

Dinner 6.40PM

  • dinner was wonderful, I had a pork chop with a lot of crab apple jelly on it, I also put a lot of salt on it with a little pepper
  • there were also some chips, which were wonderful and crunchy
  • there was also some green beans, which were nice because there was some onion, tomato and stuff under it
  • after this I had half a piece of the very nice bread from the deli
  • I then had a fairly nice banana, this was the last of the current bunch

9.10PM+

  • first I had some of the peanuts that my mum had bought before, which were nice but my dad kept taking some of mine
  • I then shared the marshmallows that I got today with my dad, they were really very nice but I always like marshmallows because they can melt in your mouth

Friday 12 December 2008

friday's post

on friday I got up at about 6.35AM because I wanted to go in early to try and get some work done (never did finish it)

Breakfast 6.40AM

  • this is a new cereal that we bought yesterday, it is Nestle almond oats and more cereal, I had it with full fat milk, its a really nice cereal because you can taste that its horribly sweet but it has kind of like a toasty musty taste to it as well which I really quite like
  • for my advent calender today I had one of those turkish delight ones (i'm thinking there must be someone out there who loves little bits of turish delight goo and fruit and nut)

Lunch 1.10PM

  • for lunch I had a sesame seed bun with some salami in it (I kept expecting chorizo for some reason) which was nice and firm
  • I also had some orange juice
  • some, again, nice but kind of soapy carrots
  • and a really nice scone

Dinner 6.40PM

  • dinner was wonderful even if I ruined it with too much chili sauce - we had my mum's friends samosas again and they were the best i've ever had today, so well balanced, and incredibly crisp but not flakey
  • I then promptly covered both of my samosas in loads of sweet chili sauce (i've really gone off that carrotty sauce) until my nose was running, I love doing this so much
  • there was also some very nice naan bread which I always like with my left over chili sauce
  • we also had a little bit of salad in a bowl with was a really welcome change because it had some kind of mint sauce added to the oil which made it really refreshing to eat against the taste of the spring onions, tomato, cucumber and stuff
  • for some reason I didn't have a banana

Snacks 8.10PM+

  • my mum had bought some peanuts for a treat which was very nice of her, I always have my peanuts one at a time using a spoon, but something unusual today was we had them out of wooden dishes which I don't think i've ever eaten off before - I really liked the texture of the bowl in my hands for some reason
  • after I had finished those I brought through the packet of cashew nuts which were very nice, but you of course got barely anything in the packet

thursday's post

I got up at about 7.35AM on thursday

Breakfast 7.40AM

  • I had that vanilla cereal with some full fat milk, i'm told that this was the last bowl of it which is incredibly annoying because I never did find out what it even is
  • my advent calender was very nice, it was one of the little mint milk chocolate ones (probably the best)

Lunch 2.00PM

  • before I started my lunch I had about just over half a wispa bar (rest going to my dad)
  • this is the lunch that I didn't have on wednesday, I had a sesame seed bun with some chorizo in it (I love having this on alternating days, its such a different taste compared to salami)
  • I also had some orange juice
  • some kind of soapy tasting carrot sticks
  • and a very nice scone with some very rich butter in it

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was wonderful, but I think I really rushed eating it. I had spaghetti bolognese which was wonderful, instead of pesto (my mum wasn't eating with us so it wasn't out) I just put my usual lot of salt on it, I love salt and if I just spent longer eating the meal I would have tasted the salt more
  • then I had a quite nice banana, it was loads better than some bananas recently but not as good as wednesday's

Snacks 7.45PM+

  • we went out after lunch and stopped at poundland to buy some nuts, and ended coming out with both cashews and bombay mix - so come half way through hollyoaks I got me and my dad a nice, fairly full bowl of bombay mix each
  • sadly the bombay mix wasn't incredibly spicy but still tasted wonderful which meant that by 8.00PM I had brought through two really quite full bowls
  • then by about 8.20PM, the bombay mix that I was saving for my mum mysteriously ended up in our bowls
  • so that was the end of the bombay mix, but she didn't really seem to mind - she came back from dinner at some indian restaurant and gave me two of those little thank you chocolate - I gave the other to my dad, but my one was very nice, a plain chocolate with some kind of orange flavouring, I just wished I would have let it melt rather than biting it

Wednesday 10 December 2008

wednesday's post

today I got up at about 7.35AM after not nearly enough sleep

Breakfast 6.40AM

  • Breakfast was some of the vanilla nestle cereal, and a very small amount of that special K red berries (they don't mix very well) with some full fat milk
  • for my advent calender, I had fruit and nut (there seems to be a giant lot of fruit and nut, and turkish delight dairy milk minis)

Lunch

  • I was planning to have my lunch about 4, when I got home, but i'm going to have it tomorrow now instead - at about lunch time I did have some kind of flapjack kind of bar, which was oats and peanuts, it cost about 55p and it was massive but it did taste very nice and extremely filling

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was very nice, it was some spare ribs in a kind of sticky sauce but I asked for them done like I had them most recently, with some honey and with white wine vinegar - I can't honestly remember what they taste like with cherry vinegar or whatever, but apparently they were so much more heavy
  • there was also some lettuce
  • and some salad in a bowl which was spring onion, cucumber, tomato and some other little things
  • we also had some naan bread which was brilliant for getting at the left over sauce considering how sweet it was
  • I then shared a slice of some kind of black forest cheese cake I got for my mum, it was really strange considering I had no memory of what cheesecake tastes like. It was a layer of biscuit crumbs that were somehow soft, with a lot of creamy stuff building on top of it (it would be kind of horrid if it was just that) with some really amazing fruity sauce on it, with some whole/half cherries, blackberries and strawberries on it which were really impressive because fruit and can be so hit and miss - I don't know if i'd go out of my way to have it again, its certainly not an eat with your fingers cake, like chocolate cake, but it really was an interesting taste
  • I then had a quite small, but very nice banana

Snacks 8.10PM+

  • I went to to one of the pound shops today, I wanted my favourite honey roasted nuts but they didn't have any in, but a friend spotted cream pies so I got some of them along with a box of snowballs
  • tonight I had two of the cream pies, they are so strange, its a little ice-cream cone (about the size of the ones in fast food places I think) filled with a really good, almost a bit too solid, marshmallow, coated in a really thin layer of fake chocolate, I suppose on their own, the stuff wasn't that impressive but they are perfect to eat in front of the TV because you can spend ages getting the marshmallow out, its just a shame you only get 4 in a box (normally 3, there was 1 extra free)

Tuesday 9 December 2008

ok there we go

thats everything updated now

theres one thing, i've forgotten half a piece of bread in a recent evening meal, but I can't remember which day it was on

tuesday's post, finally going to be up to date

I got up at about 7.45AM today (nearly didn't get up) and I ended up getting into school for lunch or something

Breakfast 7.50AM

  • now, this cereal was actually that vanilla cereal, it must be something nestle because it was all very strong tasting, like toasty compared to a kellog's sweet taste, there was a little of that special K red berries too, and my normal full fat milk
  • my advent calender today was just milk chocolate which was wonderful

Lunch 2.00PM

  • I had some orange juice
  • some carrot sticks (gave someone else one of them)
  • a very firm sesame seed bun with some nice salami in it (its wonderful having two different things on two different days)
  • I then had a scone with really nice butter in it, that I ate really quite quickly

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was wonderful, it was some really light, fluffy and really tasty roast potatoes that I put loads of salt on (tasted wonderful too)
  • also had some peas, they were wonderful but i'd like some broccoli soon
  • I also had a very nice piece of chicken
  • that was all following by a very good banana (seem to be on a really good bunch)

Snacks

  • nah, nothing today, probably getting some nuts tomorrow

monday's post

I got up at about 6.35AM on monday but I think I fell back asleep downstairs or something because I got to school so late

Breakfast 6.40AM

  • for breakfast I had some special K red berries with some full fat milk, I think there was some of that vanilla cereal in there
  • my advent calender was milk chocolate and mint which is lovely

Lunch 1.15PM

  • first I had a sesame seed bun with some chorizo in it, which I love because it makes my lunch feel different each day because I never know what i'm going to get
  • I also had some carrot sticks
  • some orange juice
  • and a really quite nice scone

Dinner 6.35PM

  • I had what my dad likes to call savory mince, made into like 3 patties, which were wonderful with a lot of salt
  • I also had a baked potato, once again, with a lot of salt
  • and some peas, I probably shouldn't have added so much salt to these
  • I then had a really wonderful banana

Snacks 9.30PM

  • my mum bought us some of that hard nougat with peanuts in it, coated in chocolate - its nice but you have to crunch it to eat it

sunday's post

On sunday I got up at about 4.00PM, I went to bed so late because I was reading about fabric pens for drawing on t-shirts

Breakfast

  • nah, not this late

Lunch

  • nope, but I did have saturday's lunch for my snack
  • I did have my advent calender though, it was a turkish delight one

Dinner 7.10PM

  • dinner was really interesting, we had roast beef but i'm wondering if it was a different cut ,because it was just a tough as normal beef (if not more tough) but it was nice and red in the middle, and had loads of great fat on the side
  • also had some very nice roast potatoes
  • some yorkshire puddings, they were all batterey and gooey in the middle, I hate that
  • we also had some carrots, and some cabbage (I like this again now that the good salt is back)
  • first I put on a lot of gravy, then I put on a lot of salt, and some pepper - on my beef I put a normal/little amount of horseradish because it was the bottom of the jar, but I would have put some more on if I could
  • I then had a really nice banana

Snacks 9.00PM+

  • first my mum gave me a lovely broken scone that had just come out of the oven, it wasn't doughy at all
  • I had to be reminded to have it, but I had saturday's lunch which was very nice, a jam doughnut with loads of jam in, the doughnut its self wasn't even soggy
  • with that I also had a fentiman's ginger beer, which was a tad muddy and maybe a little too watery

Monday 8 December 2008

saturday's post

On saturday I got up at about 10.40AM but I still managed to be late for meeting at 1PM

Breakfast

  • I didn't have any cereal, but the night before my mum was making passion cake and brownies for a party she was going to and she left me a broken up piece of brownie, I love her brownie recipe (Its called 'Andrew's (thats me) Favourite Brownies' in her recipe book) so much, its like what all chocolate cake should be, I also had my advent calender which was a fruit and nut I think)

Lunch 4.50PM (may have been a little later, wasn't near a clock)

  • I had a falafel wrap from eat which was wonderful (reminded me of exactly what falafel should taste like) that a friend very kindly gave up for me whilst he had a sandwich that he said tasted like a cheese and onion pasty
  • by this time I had been and got a sasparilla and gone to the sweet shop but I had the drink later and the sweet shop was just to buy christmas presents

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was brilliant, I had a really nice bit of steak that was strongly seasoned/marinated or whatever but it didn't taste heavy at all, it wasn't even sharp, it was just an over all really nice taste, cooked really well (I think it was what you call medium rare, or rare) and I put a fair bit of lemon on mine, a really tiny bit of pepper and quite a bit of salt (the salts better now, I could feel it when it was grinding out the mill, it felt bigger, and it tasted so much better)
  • there were also pieces of lettuce on the side of my plate
  • the lemon wedge
  • some very nice onion rings (one of the few things we have from a packet apparently)
  • and in a separate bowl there were some amazing chips, my dad used a different kind of potato and changed the oil, they were incredibly light and fluffy compared to anything hes ever made in the deep fat fryer
  • after that I had a really nice banana (the best in so long)

Snacks 8.40PM+

  • we had some peanut brittle that my mum's friend had made, it was absolutely amazing, a bit weird because it was too sharp to let melt in my mouth, but still an amazing treat that I have to make my self
  • then I shared my sasparilla with my dad, it was very nice but I think as a drink it can be very hit and miss from bottle to bottle
  • I then had some of the chocolate my mum very kindly brought home, it was green and blacks, dark chocolate with whole cherries or something - the cherries were so incredibly sweet, you couldn't let anything melt on your tongue but it was quite nice to eat quickly

friday's post

On friday I got up at about 6.30AM and got to school only 5 minutes late, it was a real rush though

Breakfast 6.40AM

  • I can only guess that breakfast was my special K red berries with full fat milk because I couldn't spot any of that vanilla stuff, but the special K did actually look different
  • another edit, I just don't seem to be used to putting in my advent calender chocolate, anyway, it was a fruit and nut

Lunch 2.00PM

  • I had a quite nice sesame seed bun with some salami in it but I rushed it a little
  • I also had some orange juice (I rarely say this, but I always start with my orange juice)
  • I also had some carrot sticks
  • and a scone, with some of that butter that has a slightly salty taste to it that goes really well on sweet things

Dinner 7.15PM

  • dinner was really nice, some more of my mum's friend's samosas which are always really well balanced - I put way too much sweet chili sauce on mine (I love doing this) and just a little of the carroty sauce that i'm really going off
  • there was also some garlic naan bread which was nice because it was less sandy than the stuff at that giraffe cafe
  • my mum also did some salad in a little bowl, which was brilliant because all the dressing welled up at the bottom, in the salad there was ice burg lettuce (this was actually on the side of my plate) and in the bowl there was, cucumber bits, tomato bits, spring onion and a lot of nice oil
  • I then had a banana, it was alright, not as horrid as recent bananas

Snacks 8.45PM

  • my mum bought us some really nice beer to try called Pure Ubu or something (named after their dog, which I thought was lovely) the beer its self tastes really interesting, like if you were to take the mild rosey woody aftertaste of hobgoblin and just blast the drinker with the taste instantly - its so punchy that it really works, I don't think it could replace anything wychwood for me but its still an interesting taste and certainly a much more full on beer than anything else i've tried
  • a bit of an edit, I just remembered we also had some cadbury's bournville dark chocolate because my mum very kindly 'over estimated' when she was buying chocolate for brownies that she was making for a party on saturday

Sunday 7 December 2008

sorry again

that last post was the big one so that took ages and ages to do, but now that ones out of the way I should be able to catch up properly tomorrow but its 2AM and I want to be out the house and at school by 9.00AM so hopefully I can get working on stuff tomorrow

thursday's post, this was the day I was in london

I got up at about 6.30AM on thursday, it was a weird day, I needed to be out of the house by 7.00AM because it was the art trip

Breakfast

  • nope, I didn't even have time to have my advent callender

Lunch 1.25PM (approx, not near a clock)

  • my dad gave me an extra sandwich on thursday which was very nice of him - it was packed in an old ice-cream tub to make room, which I really like because it was a nice change. The sandwich I had was the salami one in a sesame seed bun (I wanted the chorizo one but salami is still much better than other cold meat)
  • I also had some carrot sticks
  • some orange juice
  • and a scone that could of been really nice but one of my mum's bloody face packs made it taste like soap so I couldn't finish it

Dinner 6.50PM (approx because of no clock, could have been a lot later)

  • we went to somewhere called the giraffe cafe for dinner, it reminded me of a nandos, just owned by a different kind of person

Starter

  • for my starter I had warm naan (it actually was warm, which was impressive) with humus and a little bowl of little bits of lettuce, celery, cucumber, carrots and pepper (red and yellow)
  • the naan bread was really well balanced, not greasy at all and had a very light, but full texture. The humus wasn't really up to much, it tasted so cluttered, like there was too much going on. The humus had pumpkin seeds sitting around it on the top, this was all a bit much considering all the other stuff rolling about in it too (it was quite loose as well)
  • the salad was really quite nice, it was all really fresh and cut into the perfect little size for dipping in the humus which was brilliant - also a girl gave me her salad because she said she didn't like it, that was cool but I couldn't even finish mine anyway

Main course

  • for my main course I had something like a deluxe felafel burger, which came with some chips and a little (really tiny, but full up) dish of some kind of red, almost chili, tomato relish thing
  • the burger was a real let down, it tasted like something I would spend 6 hours making then pretend to like. the burger its self was massive, it didn't look very tall but it was certainly too big to fit in my mouth (I suppose this is half of the fun) it was what seemed to be a poppy seed bun (not that great, but it was very much edible) with half the kitchen's contents crammed inside it. The key thing I remember is about 3 different sauces, one which seemed to be a really sweet but kind of delicate mayonnaise that could have worked well on its own but there was some kind of beetroot juice rolling around in there for some reason
  • the falafel its self wasn't all that either, instead of one burger, there was a number of fairly small falafel nuggets (I knew because one fell out) I don't know if this is really important, but worth mentioning, they were dry, and crumbly with a breadcrumb like texture, they were nothing like the falafel you get in the wraps at eat
  • the chips were very nice, slightly floppy and really fluffy and nice tasting, they tasted like they weren't home cooked, but I think that can be a real positive thing though
  • the relish stuff was really nice and worked really well, it was kind of let down by the fact both it, and the chips were in separate dishes, on the same plate that the burger was on but I suppose thats what people like to see, in the end I couldn't even finish the meal, the portions were so big

Pudding

  • nah, I didn't order one because I thought i'd be too full, and this was right

Drinks

  • I didn't want to have anything alcoholic so I chose coke, it was brilliant how it came in glass bottles, and then they even brought us glasses to pour it in which was wonderful, but my hands were shaking like crazy for some reason

Over all

  • I don't often go to restaurants, and I suppose this is the first time in many years I have been to one so I don't know if i'd be the right judge of service, but everyone who served us seemed really nice, and everything arrived nice and quickly.
  • I think my meal was probably about £12-15 which isn't bad, but I don't really think the food was up to much at all, I wouldn't go again out of choice but nothing there was terrible, its just there didn't seem to be much need for a lot of the stuff they used

Snacks

  • it was so late that when I got back all I had was my advent calender (turkish delight I think) but on the train ride back I had a couple of murray's mints

Saturday 6 December 2008

wednesday's post

I got up at about 6.30AM on wednesday, and I remember that I really wanted to go to poundland but I never did go

Breakfast 6.40AM

  • I tried to eat my breakfast really quite fast because I was very tired - it was some special K red berries with some full fat milk. I really don't know where that vanilla cereal has gone

Lunch 2.00PM

  • I had a sesame bun that tasted like mainly chorizo with a small slice of salami but it was probably just old chorizo
  • I also had some orange juice
  • some carrot sticks
  • and a scone which was quite nice but a bit funny tasting
  • a while after lunch I had my advent calender chocolate which was a fruit and nut dairy milk square. I don't like fruit and nut but it works so well in the small size

Dinner 6.35PM

  • dinner was some griddled chicken, which was really well balanced but a little bit smaller than usual
  • I also had a baked potato
  • and a piece of chicken my mum didn't want
  • there was also some salad
  • after that I had a banana that wasn't very good

Snacks 7.40PM+

  • I had a £1 mix of sweets, which was really quite nice, a welcome change from just having white mice, but I think I would buy a bigger mix if I was going to do it again

hi, sorry about the lack of posts

I went to london again on thursday which sadly messed up my posting, but I will do it now

Tuesday 2 December 2008

its tuesday

on tuesday I got up at about 7.30AM

Breakfast 7.40AM

  • for breakfast I had that special K red berries, and a strange amount of that vanilla cereal as well (I'm really starting to think theres just something wrong with my special K) with some full fat milk
  • I forgot to add, since the 1st of december i've been having a cadbury's milk chocolate pieces advent calender - yesterday's was dairy milk and turkish delight, and today's was dairy milk and whole nut

Lunch 1.35PM

  • for lunch I had a sesame bun with some salami in it, which was all nice and crisp
  • I also had some orange juice
  • some carrot sticks
  • and a really quite nice scone with some really rich tasting clover in it

Dinner 6.50PM

  • for dinner I had what I think was a lamb chop (I know it was lamb but i'm not sure if it was a chop) it was boneless, and the meat was very nice, with the fat being just that little bit too bitter
  • we also had mashed potatoes, with some really big looking chives in
  • there was also some cabbage, I think i'm losing my taste for this, it just doesn't seem to be taking salt too well
  • I then had a banana, it wasn't terrible but nothing compared to what a good banana should be

Snacks 8.25PM+

  • I had some cadbury's bournville dark chocolate, I don't know but I think if its left open for a few days, it gets more of a nutty taste like aldi chocolate

Monday 1 December 2008

its monday

so I got up about 6.35AM today and actually got into school at a reasonable time

Breakfast 6.42AM

  • breakfast was that strange mix of vanilla flavoured cereal and just a little special K red berries with full fat milk. The really strange thing was, I couldn't find any clusters today

Lunch 1.10PM

  • I had some of that left over chorizo from friday in a sesame seed bun, this is a really nice change because the meat is nowhere as overpowering as tesco salami but still has that slightly synthetic tesco meat taste that for some reason I love
  • I also had some orange juice
  • some carrot sticks
  • and a really nice, tall, scone

Dinner 6.40PM

  • dinner was spaghetti bolognese, it was nice but for some reason I found that even though I finished last, I rushed eating it - also, I still can't really taste the salt we're using despite being told its the exact same stuff (it even feels different to me when I grind it in the mill) maybe I should just stop using so much of it. oh and I put a little pesto on mine, but there wasn't much left
  • I also had a banana, it was better than last night's but still not amazing

Snacks 7.35PM+

  • I started the night by sharing two of those really small packets of haribo starmix
  • I then had some of the white mice that I bought on saturday, to save them going funny like the ones from a few weeks back

sunday's post

I got up about 2.10PM on sunday after going to bed really quite late

Breakfast

  • nah, it was way too late

Lunch

  • I wanted to try and give my hair a really good wash in the bath instead (still not clean and its monday now)

Dinner 6.55PM

  • for dinner we had roast pork, but interestingly because my dad couldn't find the proper joint in the freezer, we had a belly pork roast - it wasn't really too different from normal pork, I don't think it really took salt very well and its flavour didn't last as long as normal pork but that isn't such a bad thing really
  • we also had some roast potatoes
  • yorkshire puddings
  • carrots
  • and some cabbage
  • on top of everything, I put my usual amount of gravy, and I put some crab apple jelly on my pork
  • I also had a banana after that, which like other recent bananas, really wasn't worth the bother

Snacks 8.35PM+

  • first I had some more of the bournville dark chocolate, which I still think tastes so mixed
  • I then had saturday's lunch, which was a heavy, but very nice slice of ginger cake - it didn't have any bad bits and it wasn't too musty
  • with that I also had a bottle of fentiman's orange jigger which is always extremely nice - excluding their cola, its their only drink thats consistently mild and intruding when you eat something strong like a ginger cake
